RIGHT ON CHARLIE,

And to think some of you have the balls to call folks racist & homo-phobics.Take a look in the FUC*IN mirror.Talk about filled with hate for folks that dont wanna sell AMERICA down the drain.
Yeah man lets just all embrace killin little babies, guys and women marrying each other,& redistribute the wealth to the sorry peices of sh*t that wont help themselves.
Oh but its alright to turn on The Jeffersons and hear George callin white folks WHITEY & HONKEY.
Some of you cats are just plain stupid and ignorant. And i'll glady say this to your face as well & not just peck these keys doin it.
Seems the economy was doin pretty good till 2006 or so when the Jerkocrats took control. The LIBERAL media etc has had a well planned agenda to make Bush look like a peice of sh*t to accomplish their goals .And i must admit they've done a good job.Not to mention the millions out there that have the famous comeback thats been implanted in their shallow minds""Duh ,well its better than 4 more years of the same ".
TV,Clear Channel and Hollywood have done a superb job of dumbing the masses down. And whats so damm scary is 98.7 % dont even realize it .And will fight ya to the bitter end in defense of a warped state of mind.
Thats alright though.Keep slaughtering those little babies and makin excuses for it.Havin queer programs on mainstream TV to influence little minds along with takin first graders to a lesbian wedding.
Oh yeah i can hear em comin down the trail now with the tolerance lines and times are a changin BS.
Some of you cats are way past soap factory ingredients.

You seriously believe that if the GOP still controlled Congress the financial meltdown wouldn't have occurred?

No. Basically I was posting in the context of what I've heard 436 times. A few of them (so far) today.

"The failed policies of the last 8 years."

Just as no matter who wins this election, they will get the credit when the economy has its inevitable recovery.

This did not start in 2006. It took Bush and the Republicans eight years to make this mess. Ten billion dollars a month to pay for the war in Iraq. I think that might have something to do with the problem.

Just as no matter who wins this election, they will get the credit when the economy has its inevitable recovery.

I don't really care who takes credit, I just hope the recovery happens in the next four years.

LUKE, everyone in America isn't scared sh*tless like you are.

Rant on. It is your American right. But I hope when Obama is elected President you'll be too scared to come out from under your bed, and you will stop posting your paranoid drivel here.

For his first six years as president, Bush's party had control of the House and Senate. He also got support from Democrats. Anybody not going along with Bush was called a traitor.
But it goes back further to Reagan whose battle cry was deregulation. You know the rest. I'm not going into a lot of details. It has already been said by others.

What is he, then. I'm serious. People come here and claim he is a great guy, but his posts tell something different.

I didn't say what he is, I said what he isn't: full of hate. He'll have to tell us what he is.

Sorry LUKE, there I go defending you again.

Just a few weeks ago, I read comments from several people who claimed music and politics shouldn't be mixed...I guess they should have added " Unless I agree with the politics."

I didn't know LUKE. His non-political posts were interesting and he has a unique voice in expressing himself. He was having some difficulties for a while and that's when I started to communicate with him.

He is a man with strong political opinions and he is not very tactful in expressing them. I certainly don't agree with his opinions and sometimes I cringe at what he writes. But he has a right to his opinion and you might be surprised how many people feel that way. I have relatives in the deep south and you just can't talk to most of them about politics. But they are good people who would help anybody, like LUKE.

I met LUKE recently at a fan picnic in Atlanta and I enjoyed talking with him about music. I won't throw away a friend because I don't agree with their politics.

Charlie was a liberal when it helped his career. First CDB album was way too derivative of the ABB...

"Uneasy Rider"
Charlie Daniels Band

I was takin a trip out to L.A.
Toolin along in my cheverolet
Tokin on a number and diggin on the radio

Just as I crossed the Mississippi line
I heard that highway start to whine
And I knew that left rear tire was about to blow

Well the spare was flat and I got uptight
Cause there wasn't a filling station in sight
So I just limped on down the shoulder on the rim

I went as far as I could and when I stopped the car
It was right in front of this little bar
Kind of a red-neck lookin joint called the Dew Drop Inn

I stuffed my hair up under my hat
And told the bartender that I had a flat
And would he be kind enough to give me change for a one

There was one thing I was sure proud to see
There wasn't a soul in the place except for him and me
He just looked disgusted and pointed toward the telephone

I called up the station down the road a ways
He said he wasn't very busy today
And he could have somone out there in just about 10 minutes or so

He said," Now, you just stay right where yer at!"
And I didn't bother to tell the darn fool
That I sure as hell didn't have anyplace else to go

So I ordered up a beer and sat down at the bar
When some guy walked in and said, "Who owns this car
With the peace sign, the mag wheels and four on the floor?"

He looked at me and I damn near died
And I decided that I'd just wait outside
So I laid a dollar on the bar and headed for the door

Just when I thought I'd get outta there with my skin
These five big dudes come strollin in
With one old drunk chick and some fella with green teeth

I was almost to the door when the biggest one
Said, "You tip your hat to this lady, son!"
And when I did, all that hair fell out from underneath

Now the last thing I wanted was to get into a fight
In Jackson Mississippi on a Saturday night
Especially when there was three of them and only one of me

They all started laughin and I felt kinda sick
And I knew I better think of something pretty quick
So I just reached out and kicked old green teeth right in the knee

Now he let out a yell that'd curl yer hair
But before he could move I grabbed me a chair
And said "Now watch him Folks cause he's a fairly dangerous man!"

"Well you may not know it but this man is a spy.
He's a undercover agent for the FBI
And he's been sent down here to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan!"

He was still bent over holdin on to his knee
But everybody else was looking and listening to me
And I laid it on thicker and heavier as I went

I said:

"Would you believe this man has gone as far
As tearing Wallace stickers off the bumpers of cars.
And he voted for George McGovern for President."

"He's a friend of them long haired, hippy-type, pinko fags!
I betchya he's even got a commie flag
tacked up on the wall inside of his garage."

"He's a snake in the grass, I tell ya guys.
He may look dumb but that's just a disguise,
He's a mastermind in the ways of espionage"

They started lookin real suspicious at him
He jumped up and said "Now just wait a minute Jim!
You know he's lying I been living here all of my life!"

"I'm a faithful follower of Brother John Birch
And I belong to the Antioch Baptist Church.
And I aint even got a garage, you can call home and ask my wife!"

Then he started saying somethin bout the way I was dressed
But I didn't wait around to hear the rest
I was too busy moving and hoping I didn't run outta luck

When I hit the door I was making tracks
And they were just taking my car down off the jacks
So I threw the man a twenty and jumped in and fired that mother up

Mario Andretti woulda sure been proud
Of the way I was movin when I passed that crowd
Coming out the door and headed toward me at a trot

Now I guess I shoulda gone ahead and run
But somehow I just couldn't resist the fun
Of chasing them all just once around the parking lot

Well, they're headed for their car but I hit the gas
And spun around and headed 'em off at the pass
I was slinging gravel and puttin' a ton of dust in the air

I had them all out there steppin and fetchin
Like their heads was on fire and their asses was catchin
then I figgered I had better go ahead and split before the cops got there

When I hit the road I was really wheelin
Had gravel flyin and rubber squeelin
And I didn't slow down till I was almost to Arkansas

I think I'm gonna reroute my trip
I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped
If I went to L.A., via Omaha

Not so, Charlie's a good ole' boy, and his song "In America" ought to be played real loud these days. Charlie is a red-neck but that is not a bad thing, because rednecks are patriots and patriots are Constitutionalists so Charlie's a good ole' American boy!
